Donald Miralle

With over 30 international awards and accolades for his work, Donald Miralle is recognized as one of the most innovative photographers in the industry today. Born and raised in Southern California, Donald graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting and sculpture.

In ten years at years at Getty Images as a Senior Staff Photographer, he covered nearly every major sporting event world-wide including six Winter and Summer Olympic Games, six Super Bowls, thee Pan-America Games, The World Series, The Masters, and the Indianapolis 500. His work has been profiled in magazines including Photo District News, British Journal of Photography, The Holland Times, Top Magazine in Brazil and on TV shows like ESPN, Entertainment TV and the Today Show.

He has served as a keynote speaker at many events including the PDN PhotoPlus Expo, Great White North Workshop, and is active with the education of photojournalism at colleges and workshops including Brooks College Venture, Art Center Design Pasadena, and Sportsshooter Academies. In addition, Donald has served on the jury for the NPPA Best of Photojournalism 2009, Swedish Pictures of the Year 2007, the Wisconsin Press Photographers Association and the Utah Press Photographers Association.

A college swimmer, Donald is in the water everyday at home in San Diego either surfing or paddling, and finds time to compete in the occasional comel race or triathlon while on the road.
