Trained as an engineer, Booker Morey was determined to discover a method of preserving the fine vein structure of leaves to reveal their intricate beauty. In 1993 he did, and he’s been working on “leaf etching” from his northern California studio ever since. Reproduced from a collage, Leaf Envelopes takes tapestry to a new level of sophistication.
